Futai Group is happy to celebrate our fiftieth anniversary year in 2003. We greatly appreciate all of our customers for the ongoing support, which provided us the opportunity to continually grow our business during the past 50 years. We have experienced and overcome many challenges during these many years. With your continued support we look forward to the challenges ahead and the success we will share with each of you.

We live and work in an ever-changing world. Consumer's interest and taste continue to change. Futai is the worlds recognized leader in product quality and product innovation. Faced with lower quality and prices from our competitors, it becomes even more important to emphasis and develop new umbrella technology.

The results of our effort to develop new technology can be found in several umbrellas introduced world wide this past year. The Ultra Light Series, Micro Max, Windefyer Golf and folding umbrella are all examples of our continued efforts to be the industry leader in new product development. This year we are introducing the LED light manual and LED light auto open close umbrellas as well as the Caddy Cover for golf.

While developing new products is very important we recognize the need to find ways to manufacture products in a cost efficient way to remain competitive with our pricing. Consumers want new product but want that product at a fair price. We feel we provide the highest quality of innovative product in the market while still being very competitive with our pricing.

Futai is not only the industry leader in manufacturing umbrellas and all the component parts, which we supply to other umbrella makers as well. Futai has become a leader in developing other material and industrial parts. Futai makes steel and aluminum tubes, condenser cases, various type of steel wire that are used by other industry products.

Futai looks forward to the future. Our goal is to maintain our reputation as an industry leader and we promise to make every effort to satisfy the needs of you our customer. KING'S UMBRELLA

According to the Chinese legends and record from the ancient book, the king's umbrella as above photo might firstly appear around 484 B.C. or Chun-Chiu period in Chinese history. It is said this umbrella was originally designed for serving king or queen with good protection against rains or sunshine while on inspection trip. We suppose this umbrella could be the oldest one in the world. This ancient Chinese umbrella was made either by wood or bamboos; and its cover was splendidly embroidered in gold foil with different designs of dragons, phoenix, and peonies as propitious symbol. So, all the people named it as "King's Umbrella".
